This is a great place to stay particularly before or after the French school holiday period. The site has facilities for caravans or camping and also has some mobile homes and some very comfortable apartments to let, The latter are situated in the main complex adjoining the indoor pool. outdoor pool and bar. Although not immediately adjoining a beach (there is no need to leave the site if you do not wish to do so) there are a number of beaches within a few kilometres which if not naturist designated are certainly naturist tolerated the nearest and perhaps the best is just South of St.Gille Croix de Vie, turn right off the D38 onto an unmade road immediately beyond the road sign indicating Bretignolles sur Mer, the track is a little rough but quite negotiable, the beach while we were there was signed as naturist by FFN the French Naturist Association.

There are also two beaches to the North one approached through the Foret Domaine des Pays de Monts, South of the Ile de Noirmoutier, the beach designated for naturists is 1800 metres from the car park, but this did not stop the majority stripping off within about 200 metres of the entrance. However the beach gets very crowded and should be avoided at weekends. The other beach is on the Ile de Noirmoutir itself South of L'Herbaudiere, from the D38b take the unclassified road to L'Herbaudiere and after about 1km there is a turning to the left, marked Le Plage, or alternatively turn off the D38b at la Gueriniere towards Bressuire and follow a track through the salines to the south end of the beach which is the naturist end and avoid a walk along the beach.

While at Cap Natur', don't miss a trip to the Ile d'Yeu, this can be arranged by the camp at a discount, there are a number of beaches, accessible by bicycle which can be hired for a modest sum, mostly deserted. Naturist seem to use the long stretch of sand on the North of the island to the East of the lighthouse at Pointe de Corbeaux. We walked along an empty beach for over a mile completely naked and saw no one.
